3x SPDIF Output board is compatible with the Toshiba HD-XA2. It requires the coprocessor option.
Picture below shows main connection points to Toshiba. Ground and +5v DC are also needed.

Preliminary Info on installing 3x SPDIF output board into Toshiba HD-XA2 player
Picture below shows board installed in Toshiba. The blue board is the coprocessor board piggybacked on top of the 3x SPDIF output board. Blue cable is the 3x SPDIF outputs.
